I'm Dharmesh "Mesh" Bhakta, and I photograph headshots for Austin professionals and the teams they work with. I coach your posture and expression as we go, so you look confident instead of stiff. You see every frame on a monitor while we shoot, so there are no surprises when your gallery arrives.

A headshot is usually the first thing a client, patient or hiring manager sees, often before they ever hear your voice. I photograph headshots for:

How an individual session works

 

  1. Request a date. Tell me how you plan to use your photos and when you need them, and I'll get back to you personally with available times.

  2. Plan your look. My session preparation guides cover what to wear and how to get ready. Most headshot sessions run 45 minutes to an hour with one or two looks.

  3. Shoot with live review. We work in my Austin studio or at your office. I direct the small things like your chin, shoulders and expression that make a photo look natural.

  4. Get your gallery. You'll have edited images within two business days after each session, ready for LinkedIn, your website and print.

 

Need a headshot without planning a full session?

 

Every Monday from 10 AM to 4 PM, starting November 9, 2026, I open the studio for Headshot Monday. Pick a time online, pay when you book, and arrive ready. A 30-minute session with one outfit is $259 plus sales tax, and a 45-minute session with a second outfit is $359 plus sales tax.

 

Team headshots at your office

 

For companies, I bring my lighting to your office and set up in a conference room or any open space. Each person takes about 5 to 10 minutes, so nobody loses an afternoon. Everyone sees their photos on a monitor and picks a favorite before heading back to their desk.

Every person is lit, framed and photographed against the same background, so your team page looks consistent from the first bio to the last. My free team headshot day planner maps out your day from your head count and start time, including a sign-up schedule you can send around.

Hiring throughout the year? My monthly photography retainers include new-hire headshots within the agreed session time, matched to the rest of your team.

 

 

Headshot questions

 

How long does a headshot session take?
Most individual sessions run 45 minutes to an hour with one or two looks. Headshot Monday sessions are 30 or 45 minutes. On a team day, each person takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

 

When will I get my photos?
You'll have edited images within two business days after each session. Your gallery stays available to download for 90 days.

 

What should I wear for a professional headshot?
Solid colors and clothes that fit well through the shoulders photograph best. Wear what you would wear to meet an important client, and bring a second option if you're booking two looks. My session preparation guides walk through the details.

 

Can you photograph our team at our office?
Yes. I photograph teams on location at their office as well as in the studio. Tell me how many people need headshots, your location and how you plan to use the images when you request a quote. How do we keep new-hire headshots consistent?
A shared lighting, background and framing standard keeps your team photos consistent. If you hire throughout the year, my monthly photography retainers include new-hire headshots within the agreed session time.

 

What should we include in a team headshot request?
Include your headcount, preferred location, target date and where the photos will be used. If you already have team portraits, share a few examples so we can discuss the look you want to match.

 

Is retouching included?
No. Detailed retouching, like skin, flyaways and stray hairs, is available as an add-on for the images you choose. Every image in your gallery is still professionally edited for color, exposure and contrast.

 

Is hair and makeup included?
Hair and makeup is not included, so plan to arrive camera ready.

 

How much do professional headshots cost in Austin?
Headshot Monday is $259 for 30 minutes or $359 for 45 minutes with a second outfit, plus sales tax. Longer sessions, location shoots and team days are quoted around your headcount, location and timing. Request a date and I'll send you a quote.
